Manually connect to a wireless network option missing windows 7

I have no internet connection. I don't know where my wifi went to. I don't know why I have no icon. I do not have the option to manually add the wireless network. My computer just tells me over and over to plug in an ethernet cord. I have been using wifi at my house for months without any issue. My other computers are working fine.

The link you provided did not mention my issue. I would suggest you open Device Manager and uninstall the WiFi card and then scan for hardware changes. If you are still unable to connect to a wireless network, you have the option to restore the system back to a date when you did have WiFi. Here is another document that may help.
