Without fail, the lady did call me one day later to get my reply. I understood her anxiety and I would like to assist her if I could. But in reality, my hands are tied. In my heart of hearts, I hope it is taken heed of to avoid any unforeseen developments later on!

Foreigners can apply for a Malaysian driving license. Will be contacting your email. Mizanur Rahman February 16, at pm - Reply. Thanks for writing in. Will be contacting you via your email for further discussion. Cikgu Yap February 25, at pm - Reply. Malaysia will only allow you to drive with an international driving license for up to 90 days, then you must apply for a Malaysian license.
Some countries, however, such as Singapore, Germany, Australia, and Switzerland will let you drive with your foreign driving licence for three months, then you must convert.
Section 28 of APJ states that foreign nationals who hold a valid foreign driving license may drive in Malaysia as long as the foreign license is still valid and has been translated into English or Malay when the license is in a language other than English or Malay. A foreign license may be used in Malaysia for a three-month period before an international permit must be obtained. Translated into English by the Embassy of the country that issued the driving license.
It is not uncommon for students to be required to complete up to 22 hours of driving lessons in the car type they have chosen — manual or automatic. When visiting Malaysia for holidays, foreigners with these licenses do not need to have a driving license.
You will need a foreign license otherwise. In Malaysia, a Singaporean driving license will be accepted if the driver is not staying longer than 90 days in the country. For British citizens to drive in Malaysia, they need documents that are recognised by the Malaysian government.
In the United States, IDPs are valid for one year from the date of issuance or from the expiration date of the domestic license, whichever comes first.
